No, Octane is not a scam. They do provide you with software and training. My concern is, just by using others videos, it’s really hard to sustain in the longer run.

First off, thank you for the review on Octane. I think I am with you on this that Octane might not be a scam but it has too many up-sells and it will get pricey since the creators will not spill all the beans to you. I am sure that consistency on building your video and posting a good content to your site will benefit you. As long as you are honest, people will buy from you. I think there are many youtube channel on youtube teaching you how to do youtube marketing. You just have to watch out about the scams, the too good to be true promises, and you will learn a lot from that.
You are correct! Nowadays we have access to loads of valuable information for free and by doing some research and watching videos we can learn to create unique and original video content. Its not about creating video content, its about creating helpful and quality video content which will give viewers more value.
I believe this should be targeted more towards beginers like real stage one beginners just to help them kick start their Internet marketing journey and they can thereon start adding their own form of originality to the contents they post on youtube and they grow in the industry. It’s a nice idea though if you ask me but for the upsells, that’s alot hidden sales if you ask me. I would go for something with such upsales because most likely yiu won’t be able to do much with the initial product you bought.
Obviously, most of the time many of these products focus more on the upsells. From my own experience with many of these make money online products even before entering into the members area itself there will be several OTO’s and they will claim that these OTO’s will help you succeed fast, save your time and effort etc., I hate upsells.
I am aware of the creators of Octane, and have purchased products from them in the past, but recently. I was curious about this one due to the name and decided to do some due diligence prior to even having a look at the sales page. I have found that these days there are more lousy products than good ones on offer, so this is a necessary step.
Your review was good and based on the intent of the training and the resources they are recommending that you use (cc videos) is not the image that I want to put out to the marketplace. There are too many tools to create fresh and unique content.
The many up-sells also put me off, as it is clear that to gain many of the features that you likely will need to make this training work for you, there will be more investment required. Some of them also seem to be very much unrelated (hard to tell until you buy them).

I’m actually a huge fan of Octane and in my opinion it’s a good product. I’m familiar with Jono’s work too and he has provided a ton of great content for free. Once again, in my opinion he is one of the top internet marketers out there.
However, I’m not overly big on all of the upsells, but the front-end price isn’t bad at all.
