Is Neora A Pyramid Scheme?
Neora has a wide range of products. You can make money by selling their products without recruiting any members but without recruiting members it’s going to be a big challenge to earn a reasonable amount.
However, FTC Sues Multi-Level Marketer Neora, formerly known as Nerium, Alleging it Operates as an Illegal pyramid scheme.
Is Neora A Scam?
No, Neora is not a scam and they have a wide range of products.
However, you can find some of my concerns below.
BBB Revoked Their Accreditation
There are a lot of people who look for BBB ratings before joining a company and it plays a vital role. As I mentioned before BBB revoked their Accreditation which not a good sign at all and it’s a big red flag for me.
FTC Complaints
FTC Sues Multi-Level Marketer Neora, formerly known as Nerium, Alleging it Operates as an Illegal Pyramid Scheme.
You can read the article here.
Also, you can read another article – Ray Liotta Sues Lawsuit Skin Care Nerium – Here.
Very Expensive Products
Neora products are very expensive and this is the case with many MLM companies their products are quite expensive and there are a lot of better/same options at a cheaper rate.
Income Disclosure Statement
I am not able to find their recent income disclosure statement but I was able to find their old one (Nerium). I noticed a lot of people are making less money and as I mentioned only a very few people are making reasonable money.
Out of 24277 members, on an average 15427 members are making less than $375. That’s more than 63% I believe.
You can find their old income disclosure statement here.
Success Rate Is Very Low With The MLM Business Model
For sure Neora is not a scam. They use the MLM business model and even with the popular and genuine MLM companies many people are earning very less and losing money.
Only very few people make good money with the MLM business model. That’s the reason I often say the success rate is very low with the MLM business model. Newbies and people on the bottom of the ladder lose their money.
Not only with Neora with the companies that are using the MLM business model the success rate is very low.
For more information, you can read my post “Network Marketing vs Affiliate Marketing – Pros And Cons“.
I am not against the MLM business model and I am not saying you can’t earn money with MLM. All I am trying to say is the success rate with MLM is very less and many people fail with MLM business.
Among the 26% of people who made money nearly 14% made less than $420 a month (less than $5000 per year). So you can see a very less number of people make money via the MLM business model.
Often they are the people who joined when the company started and who have a big team under them and they are on the top of the ladder.
To Make More Money You Need To Recruit More People
If you notice most of the people who earn good money are the ones who are in the top rankings and they are the ones who joined in the early stage.
To make more money you need to be in the higher rank and to be in the higher rank you need to have a big team under you and to have a big team you need to recruit more members or push the members in your team to recruit more people.
So recruiting people plays an important role in any MLM business model.

Your Friend,
Hey nice review you have there about Neora. Thanks for being fair in your review, you deserve my accolades. When it comes to investing into a business or any platform, their are some factors one has to considered, like is it a legitimate business, has it been accredited by relevant authority, etcetera. Neora apart from being legit, since Better Business Bureau has revoke their accreditation that means there is something fishing that makes them not to meet the requirements of BBB.
There are a lot of reasons why I am not recommending Neora and one of the reasons is… BBB revoked their accreditation and it’s a big red flag.
Hello there thanks for this review about this platform, it is of great value. No doubt this platform is really expensive to join and difficult to make money. I can’t really say for sure if this platform is a joke or not considering the fact that it is a pyramid scheme I do not think it is worth the time and energy.
Thanks for your valuable thoughts.
Helooo Dear, thanks for sharing this insightful review on on neora. I have definitely enjoyed every single bit if this blog. Anyways I came across neora platform during my search online for ways earn online, which prompted me into making more research on it. Anyways like you’ve rightly said neora is not a scam it’s a legit platform but I will say one can’t really earn well from it except you’re ready to recruit downlines and pressurise your downlines to do the same and that am not good at . So I’ll say neora platform is not a take for me. Thanks once again.
I too don’t prefer direct selling and I have tried a few MLM in the past and I will never try it again. Also, the success rate is very low with the MLM business model.
Hey Paul. Thank you for sharing this insightful review of Neora and showing if the MLM company is actually a scam. I have always known MLM products to be expensive. As a matter of fact, So many persons have branched my shop with some health products that are indeed expensive than they should be and even invite me to join their MLM opportunity. With what I have learnt from this review, Neora is definitely not worth wasting my time and money in. The earnings are low, FTC has complaints and BBB revoked their accreditation. This indeed gives me a lot of concerns. Not good.
Yes, there are too many red flags. I too noticed most of the MLM products are overpriced.
Thanks for doing all of the research to help me confirm what I already suspected — that I should walk away from any investments or opportunities from Nerium International. I’d be surprised to find any MLM that was actually a good investment, but the claims and certain testimonials (fakes??) can make them seem convincing on the surface.
I agree with your conclusions, but I actually don’t put much stock in the BBB standing, as the BBB seems to rate everyone well who simply pays to be a “member”.
Thanks for the thoughts on BBB and it’s interesting.
