The registration process is quite simple and easy. All you need to do is just enter the below details…

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Email address

  • Address – They are asking for your address because they will send you a PIN which you need to enter in order to withdraw money from them (more on this later).

How Microworkers Works?

After registering and verification process you will be able to complete tasks from Microworkers. As I mentioned you don’t need to have great knowledge or skills to complete some tasks which are very easy.

I am not recommending Microworkers but still, if you are interested to try Microworkers I would advise you to focus on the tasks which you have experience and you are confident that you can complete it. It’s because of the success rate I am providing this advice.

You need to maintain a success rating of at least 75% to get jobs. If your rating goes below 75% you need to wait for 45 days and then apply again.

How And When Do You Get Paid?

You need to earn at least $9 + fees before you withdraw. They do provide you with different payment options. Below are the fees for each payment option.

  • Skrill/ Dwolla – 6.50%,
  • PayPal – 7.50%,
  • Local Funds Transfer via Transpay – 3.00% + $1.00 for Non-USD transfer/$3.00 for USD transfer.
  • For Payoneer, you need to earn at least a $20 + 5.00% fee.

Payments are sent twice a week, every Wednesday and Sunday.

Pro’s and Con’s

The Good:

→ Free to join

→ Payments sent twice every week

→ The payout threshold is $9

→ Some tasks are very easy to do

The Bad:

→ Low Earnings

→ You need to trade time for money

→ It’s really hard to get jobs (Limited number of jobs)

→ Withdrawals require a PIN in order to be activated. (PIN requirement is waived when you choose Dwolla, Local Funds Transfer via Transpay or Payoneer for withdrawal).

Who’s Microworkers For?

Those who are looking to earn money part-time by doing simple tasks and not worried about the low earnings.

Is Microworkers A Scam?

No, Microworkers is not a scam people do receive payment from Microworkers (There are some complaints on not receiving the payments) and they are online for nearly 9 years with millions of workers worldwide.

Although, Microworkers is not a scam and it’s a legit site still I am not recommending Microworkers for the below reasons…

Reason 1 – The earning potential is very low. It’s like trading time for money. For sure Microworkers is not going to help you to quit your day job. I have reviewed many GPT sites and it’s really hard to earn a reasonable amount from them.

Some of the GPT sites I have reviewed…

Reason 2 – In order to receive the PIN from Microworkers you need to wait for 2 to 4 weeks it depends on which part of the world you live in. There are some complaints even after 4 weeks they didn’t receive the PIN.

Reason 3 – Payment processing fees are a bit of a concern for me the percentage of the processing fees is quite high.

Reason 4 – There is always a struggle and competition in getting the jobs. The availability of jobs is very less.

Reason 5 – There are many complaints on SiteJabber and Complaintsboard. I do know that there will be always some negative comments on any products and services but I believe Microworkers is not worth the effort.

Take Action

By doing those simple tasks with Microworkers you need to keep on working and the income is not passive with Microworkers.

It will take time, work, and effort but if you do it properly with the right training and guidance you can earn a full-time income from home at the max in 2 years.

With Microworkers even if you work for 10 years or 15 years also you need to trade your time for money.

If you ask me, Paul, What I Need To Do To Earn Money Online?

With great love and respect, I will advise you to stay away from these scam sites that promise easy and quick money. If you are serious about making money online I will request you to find your passion and build a website on it.

  2. Hi Paul,

This review of microworkers being a scam is indeed your honest review which is invaluable to many online job seekers. You have provided an in depth knowledge for them to make an informative decision. Having worked hard to receive financial freedom compared to “slavery” kind of wages that people spend hours on end battling to make ends meet when they can spend those valuable hours on building their own businesses which would lead to being their own bosses is sympathetic.

With your genuine revelation in this elaborate review, you have become empathetic enough not only to educate them on their predicament in scavenging for erratic job supplies, but to persuade them to see the many advantages of being your own boss. Thank you for this depth insight.

    Joseph.

  3. Hi Paul, another great and honest review. My list of sites that are not worth bothering with and to avoid is slowly growing. Time is always a premium and without your recommendations I may well have found myself wasting it on trying out Microworkers. I like the idea of being able to multitask from home while on the computer, which is why I am looking for alternative sources of income. However, if these sites cause you to spend your time with very little return then you are right not to recommend them and in so doing you are providing a great service. I am intrigued though, as per my nature, as to what other tasks, when available, are offered.

  4. Microworkers sounds like a pretty good idea and it’s a shame that it’s not. Biased reviews are never good and I appreciate you pointing them out. 45 days to wait seems like an awful long time since jobs are tough to get and there is low income potential. I’ve never heard of anyone taking 7.5% for using PayPal. Thanks for another helpful review and as always I highly recommend Wealthy Affiliate!

    • Often people fall as a victim to those biased reviews and they are unaware that some people always say “Highly Recommended” to all the products they promote.

45 days is quite a long period and I don’t like it.

  5. I was thinking of joining Microworkers to earn some extra cash, but now i am having second thoughts.  The fees look really high for what would be a really low income?

The tasks look quite basic as well, looks like I might get bored easily?  You mention affiliate marketing, that looks like it might be more interesting and more lucrative.  How long have you been doing affiliate marketing and is it worth the effort?

    thanks

  6. Hi; Microworkers seem to be hiring people for all kinds of small task. Can anyone rely on doing the task for Micro workers to earn money enough to sustain a family of three?

Although the price paid for the task might be relatively low, I think it would be more honorable for an unemployed to do tasks and be paid a small fee, than for the unemployed to go about and beg.

    • It is always great earn money by working from home. Based on the earnings it will hard to plan things because it will be low earnings and it’s not consistent. Also, it will take time for you to withdraw your first earnings. That’s the reason I am not recommending Microworkers.

  7. Hey Paul,

Great review on microworkers. I personally did not get enough work from them and had to move to other platforms- do you have any tips or tricks on how to maximize your earnings with them or can you suggest a platform that offers higher hourly wages? I am curious to get feedback on personal experience with other platforms. Thanks for getting so much detail into this article, it was really insightful.
